Man. I heard there were soooo many probs w/ that Tranny. Why couldn't Ford put the T-56 or @ least T-45 in it? 3.55 gears are nice but they should've gone @ least 3.73s. 3.90s would be much better stock. I still want 1 though & will talk to my sales guy I spoke to Saturday again tomorrow. I used to sell cars w/ him @ another dealer a few years ago & the dealer was bought by another & therefore all cars are @ liquidation prices so I think I'll get a good deal.

Ya the tranny is kinda 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me'ty but besides the 2nd gear clunk, in 21k miles, I haven't had any problems..In fact yesterday, I changed my Tranny fluid and only put in 3.2 quarts and I must say it does shift better. Good luck w/ the Mach, I test drove one and those cars are animals. Throw in a set of 4.30s, exhaust and you'll have a fast 12 sec car.

1990 I'm thinking about 1 of those as well but Ford would have to work an awesome deal. I'm looking to pay no more than $28000 for the Mach over 6 years. A Cobra would have to fit in the same category which is extremely unlikely, seeing how it runs $35000 & Ford wouldn't want to go down a penny unless you pay cash.

I don't wanna buy another used vehicle right now. I bought my current Stang same year but w/ 2300 miles on it.

just FYI, when i was looking at getting a cobra, I could have gotten a mach1. BUT one of the things holding me back was the lack of forged internals. The other was the TR3650 tranny...so those are 2 things that held me back from getting the mach. in the end i stayed with my GT and I am happy with it. I can continue to mod it and have a blast doing it.

I like modding my Stang but after I test drive the Mach I'll know whether or not my efforts've been in vain. I'd hate to think that I've spent some $4000 or so modding & a stock Mach can still woop her. I'm not sold on the Mach yet but if I could get a good deal I'd be more than sold on a Cobra. We'll see tomorrow when I hit up the dealer.

Here in Georgia, NEW unsold '03 cobras are listed at $28,900 at a local ford dealership. I'd see if I could locate some leftover '03 cobras first in your area. That's the best deal my friend!

I agree with this. Even if it is a used low mile '03 who cares. It has a full warranty. Even the used Mach 1's are going for $24-25K. There are alot of brand new '03's at the dealerships. They have to get rid of them ASAP. Use that as a selling point and talk the price down.

Used 03 Mach's are 20k max. A new one should be no more than $25k. It is by far the best mustang I've ever owned out of the last 6. I'm an NA fan and don't like forced induction.............
