what tuner???

yea yea yea i know that the sct is the best but thats alot of mulla : )...so i was doing my research and the superchips and some other one that i read was really good...what do yall perfer. i want a tuner that will disable the rear cats and that will disable the speed liminator....and one that will read and clear obdII codes...

any help app...

You get what you pay for. I don’t know what some of the "off brand" tuners do but the SCT will do everything and anything you need. Plus I would say very few, if any tuners use the cheaper tuners to tune with. (That’s a lot of tunes lol) Trust me buy the SCT now because I guarantee you’ll sell you other one and buy an SCT later.

Superchips is SCT - more or less.
Find what the tuners in your area are using...if you do need to get a dyno tune, you'd want to have the same hardware that they use.

SCT will not turn off the rear o2's. Buy a Diablosport Predator if you really want that function.

Both are good, it seems that alot of people are using SCT (users and tuners alike), but Diablosport is by no means bad. I like mine, alot of cool features.

I removed the speed limiter with mine aswell as turned off the rear o2's and pulled codes with it. I got it used also, so it was a great deal IMO. Just a decent code scanner alone is $$$.

Based on what you said you want to do with a tuner, get a used Diablosport Predator for $200-250.

That's funny...it did mine.

The Diablosport is good too...if you can find one for a good price. I'd rather the Xcalibrator2 myself.

I have an SCT flip switch and my rear 02s are completely unlpugged. My X pipe doesnt even have bungs for them . I had them turned off in the tune and 0 problems.

Get the one supported by your local dyno shop. After you get a few more mods you might want to get dyno tuned and if you dont have the company they support your outa luck.

SCT does? Oh well, guess you learn something new everyday... haha.

I didnt see it on the features of the Xcal-2's, and ive heard other people say the same thing. You cant deny first hand experience though.

I stand corrected.



Just as a heads up for a general price range I nabbed my Diablosport for $175 used.
