What kind of 1/8th mile times and trap speeds would you expect for an '86 lx, bone stock engine, tko, 3.73 gears, et streets, subframe conns and a gutted interior? I want to know what everyone thinks, gimme your .02 cents worth.

Somewhere in the mid-low 9's at the low-mid 70's mph range would be my guess. I am not really sure because it is pretty rare to see a 86 with stock E6 heads still on it.

The 1/8th is all about torque, traction, and gearing, so top end doesn't really come into play very well.

Good guess, it went 9.02 @74.38, 1.88 60'. Had some wheel hop and a tire rub, ran at 10* timing, 12psi in tires. The other stangs at the track (all 87 and up, 3 had et streets) that were around 9.0 with me were running 4-8 mph faster, i was quicker in first 330.

Good times, kind of what I figured. The E6 heads are a big weakness, even if you swiched to untouched E7's, you would notice a good difference. It will all come with time.

haha, what a coincedence, I used to own a Escort before the 5.0. Actually 2, the LX was a turd and a half, the '95GT was actually pretty quick for what it was, faster than my GT was stock. I learned to drive partly on my uncle's 75 F100, but he had a 455 ols engine in it, Olsmoford.

Yeah, i'd like to run the "scorchin 'scort" at the track, but i'm not sure if their timers would go high enough!! lol
