TO FIND A MASSIVE DENT on your car after coming back from vaction. Last week, I snapped a Lower control arm.. Left my car at the shop for about week until I got a new pair from american muscle (which btw are awesome, MM FTW).

I wasn't around this weekend so I had my father pick up the car for me when it was ready and I get back found THIS!! wtf!!! did they think i wasnt going to notice a huge F00kIN dent on my driver side door???? I have work till 5 monday and flying over to the shop right after.

Any advice would be appreciated because at this point it's their word vs. mine since my father took the car without saying anything to them since he did not know and couldnt get in touch with me. if they do give me trouble though im going to flip a sh|t and might have to light the place on fire

Oh boy, that sucks.

Explain to the shop what happened, but first, make sure your father didn't accidentally do that.

I came out of a final exam last year, and it was the last day I would be down by school, to find a huge dent scrape on my drivers side door. Boy that sucks!!

When the car was picked up at the shop that would have been the time to raise the issue. Now it is too late. That dent could have happened at any time after leaving the shop. If I was the shop owner I would not pay for it.

Thats what i was thinking... you got lucky and it looks like the dent missed the creese(sp).

2 weeks after i got my stang some jackass merged into the side of my car, leaving a dent right on the friggin creese. The cop REFUSED to write a ticket sayin "You both have the same insurance, ill let them take care of this." Needless to say i didnt have full coverage at the time.

But yeah, hopefully that sucker will just pop out for ya, i cant tell if its stretched much but i dont think its as bad as it looks.

Good luck!

well I stopped at two different body shops that I know and both quoted me around $500 because it's so close to the crease it is most likely going to chip if pulled. I did have some luck at the shop that originally dented it though. After a bit of talking, they agreed it was obviously done there but of course still denied they had any part in it. They also forgot to mention they use to own a body shop down the road and just sold it to a new owner but still retain discounts.

They said I need to leave my car with them for a couple days next week and mentioned nothing about me paying I also made it abundantly clear that I am not paying. So I am optimistic they are just going to fix it for me. Now whether it is done right is the next question but this body shop is a well known so I have faith. We will see next week i guess

That's great! I really hope they take care of it for you. Would suck to have to dish out $500 for something you didn't do
