Right but a H/CI 302 doesnt trap 124

right but if you were my friend and ran high 11's at 124 id talk **** to you too... but not in a hateful way, id just do it till you got the car running the numbers its supposed to be, cause to me thats not really something to brag about

Theres only one thing to do here, get your car running mid 10's like it should be and shut him up!

Guys that piss and moan about those who run power adders do so, because they just got beat by someone with one. PERIOD!!!!

Reminds me of the Bowtie boys crying about the '03-'04 Cobra's. "Yeah....you guys needed a blower to keep up to our N/A LS1....blah, blah, blah".

Funny.....they didn't have a problem squaring off their Crapmar's 346ci power figures/quarter mile times against the Mustangs when it was only sporting a N/A 302 OHV, or 281 OHC before that. ;)

It's even richer now to see Fords new TiVCT 5.0L Mustang matching the Camaro’s LS3 power numbers and waxing them on the street/strip, yet doing it with a full 1.2L less displacement. :hail2:

I actually had some guy accuse me of using "ricer math" when I pointed this fact out to him. :rlaugh:

Funny how the story changes when the shoe is on the other foot. ;)

I've been in this conversation with a Honda owner before. He was constantly picking on me about my car and I kept biting my tongue, only debating with him about it, and then I started to be the instigator.

As soon as I saw him, I'd say, "Hey, how's that POS Honda of yours? Want to go race?" and he'd start to talk **** so I'd just keep egging him on, "Come on man, cut through the bull****, let's go race. I don't care about your friends car, I care about yours, let's go race, stop being a p**** and race me."

and just plain out rag on him. Show him videos of GEOs being made fun of, show him the specs of a Geo, and just plain out harass this dude all day long, and if he fights you, then beat his ass, and make fun of him about that. I would somehow tie all the bad and pathetic **** that happened in the guy's life tie back to the fact he owned a Honda, and he just got tired of it.

Before long he'll stop cause in the end you drive the better car. It's not about you and his friend. It's about you and him. He brought it on him self. Now once he stops, you stop as well. You aren't looking to become HIM, you are just making him stop, and then if he starts up again, go full out on him once again. He'll learn soon enough.

I made my moron (the guy with the Honda) hate me so much he barely talks to me now, and he knows better than to start some crap with me.

Whats even richer is that the M3 is doing that with a full liter less as well, funny how similar the m3 V8 and 5.0 V8 are...and the bimmer is only 4.0l yet makes more horsepower, the "new" 5.0 is nothing new, just history repeating itself and manufacturers stealing each others designs
look familiar?

Oh i couldnt agree with you more. My 60ft is 1.8s and Im only able to rev it to 5500 Rpm do to a lean condition.Im saving for an Aeromotive kit so I can rev this thing to at least 6500. Im hitting the rev limiter at 1000ft so im coating in the last 320ft basically. I will get 10s outta this setup I dont care but it takes!!! But my drving sucks ass, ill be thee 1st to admit that!!

yea but the BMW motor dosent make dick for torque and you have to sing it to make power

Indeed. I'd be much more impressed with the BMW power figures if they weren't down 100lbs/ft plus torque over the new Ford or Chevy powerplants.

The impressive thing about the 5.0L TiVCT compared to the 6.2L LS3 is that both horsepower and torque figures are nearly identical between the two engines, yet the difference in displacement is so drastic.

So I guess in fact that it does mean there's a replacement for displacement....its apparently variable cam timing, combined with the best designed heads and intake combination to grace a modern North American V8 in the last 30-years.
300ftlbs is impressive for only a 4l thats still more than our cars made stock

It actually matches what the 5.0L OHV made for stock torque, but I see where you're going with it. It certainly is impressive for a 4.0L. So it makes it even more impressive then when the new 3.7L V6 in the base mustang is nearly matching those torque figures as well, with two less cylinders to carry the workload. :nice:

Sure it may be 2 cylinders less but again, its only .3L smaller, so i dont think there is replacement for displacement, we both know that the LS series will respond much better to mods than the TiVCT. I just dont see why everyone is raving over how "new" the engine is when BMW has already done it. And now that ford has done it with more torque i'll bet you bimmer will come back with the same engine with more torque and horsepower, even if it means jumping to 5.0l, imagine that, probably would make 500hp at 8k rpms and 400lbs a torque
In fact they already have it "kinda" the S85 engine makes those numbers, but its a V10, but a 5.0l displacement none the less. Either way ford is running an import engine now
