Hey, how you guys doing? This is my first post, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. But my question is on a cobra I saw recently. I am an F-body guy myself, I own a 2001 Trans Am WS6, but I also really like Mustangs. But there is a guy at my school that has a black cobra I see every morning. I love the look of it, but it seems to look a little different than any other mustang I've seen, and it doesn't look aftermarket or anything. It is a Cobra, it's black, but is has no raised spoiler on the rear, it has a little amber in the taillights, the hood is a clean look, the middle is raised a little, it has grey colored 5 spoke wheels (now chrome). I know its not a bullit, I know bullits don't have raised spoilers also, but it doesn't say bullit on it, and it doesn't have the bullit wheels either. This maybe really simple because I am not very familar with mustangs, but it looked very awesome and really caught my eye. Just wanted to know any more info on it I could find and maybe some pics if possible! Thanks for any help guys!

It has a raised spoiler.....hmmm it is hard for us to say without seeing a pic atleast for me anyways I am going to guess it's a Roush Mustang it could just be a normal cobra with a Roush body kit and wing.....thats my guess anyways....

Goto Brad Barnett's website, he's got a TON of Mustang pics. If you can find a pic of the body style (or even the exact car) it'd make things a lot easier

My post might have been a little confusing, sorry. It doesn't have a raised spoiler. It almost looks like it doesn't have one at all. I don't have a picture of it. I looked around on the internet and such for pics and stuff like that to see if I could find something like it, but no luck so far. It is nothing special body wise, no body kit or anything, just really clean looking. It may be just a regualr Cobra, but it sure looks good! Thanks!

Its probably a 2001 Cobra with an 03 spoiler and an aftermarket hood. The 03 spoiler almost looks like its not there and there are plenty of hoods with the center raised in the aftermarket. Take a pic if you can and we can tell you exactly what it is.

I was thinking it could be an 03 Cobra, but the raised hood thing...

Is the rear bumper a solid color or does it have a black plastic part too?
Like this..

Or is it a GT?

but it's got the heat extractor things, I'd think that'd be the first thing to notice.

Sounds to me like its one of 2 things
-03 Cobra with Steeda/Cervinis "R" hood without the bubble
OR
-01 Cobra with the same hood as i mentioned above. T

THe thing is the '01 Cobras came iwht chrome 17'' 5 spokes, while the 03 Cobras came iwth polished (gray as you describe) 5 spokes. Im gonna say its a regular ole 03 Black Cobra......sooooooo sexy

Hey guys, thanks for all the responses and info. I know enough about Mustangs to know it wasn't an 03 Cobra. I definitely know those because I think they look so awesome! But it did have the small amber area in the taillight, which I noticed seemed to be different than most of the Mustangs I see. But I guess I'm just gonna have to take a pic, or try to hunt the guy down and ask him about it. As for the hood, it isn't the 03 cobra hood, it doesn't have the 2 inlets in the middle. It is very clean and simple (stock I don't know?). But it has lower foglights in the lower front bumper and says Cobra in the lower bumper like all of them seem to. But anyways thanks for the help guys! I appreciate all your effort! I'll figure it out sometime!

It's either a 99 or 01 spoilerless cobra. If it has clear headlights, it's a 99. If the headlights are smoked, it's an 01.

99 Cobra

01 Cobra

Good point about the 03 Cobra taillights not having ambe rin them. Im gonna have to say its a spoilerless 99 Cobra with Cervinis or Steeda small cowl hood. Explains the hood, rims, taillights, and "COBRA" in rear bumper. 01's have chrome rims, so im leaning towards the '99. Im right, don't argue with me!
