I was kind of wondering this same thing. I want a low profile speed jack, but they seem to be pretty expensive.

I got 2 floor jacks (AC Delco from O'Rieleys) 2 ton each for $25 each.
Makes tire rotation, oil changes, fuel filter, so fast and easy. Add in 2 jack
stands for cheap insurance.

I had a Low profile Craftsman and took it back. Not only did I STILL have to drive up on 2x4's but the Jack pad didn't pivot so when you were jacked all the way up, it slipped off the k member... scary stuff indeed...

With that said, i have a 2 ton small floor jack (no clue on brand) it fits under the gas tank easy but still has to have 2x4's to get under the k member (car has a pro kit).

+1million on getting jack stands.. Never can have enough of those around.

I have a crappy 2.5 ton Craftsman someone gave me for free.

I too am looking for a good speed low profile jack(lowered on H&R SS's.)

Jackstands are awesome! Definite insurance against potential injury or even death lol.

Any low pad-height aluminum quick-lift jack will do great. I need one, but they're so bloody expensive.

price isnt an issue

If you want a good low profile floor jack you need to check out snapon or s&k! price cant be an issue bc you will keep waisting your money! trust me ive worked on imports for years you can get a good 2inch 3ton low profile speed jack for around $150 at any part store you just have to know who to ask! dont waist your money get what you need the first time!
