whats a stock block worth?

Retail on a bare Romeo block is ~$325, but can be had for $250ish plus shipping (look it up at oemfordparts.com, part #M-6010-W46).

If the block is used, I wouldn't offer more than $200, especially since you may need to do a slight overbore to clean up the cylinder walls.

i wouldn't pay anymore then $200 for the block and crank together. I see them going for $50/75/100 for the iron...my Teksid was under $300.

yeah ive seen teksid's for around 300~ thats why i was asking what an iron was worth, figured it would be less.. thanks guys

I have a stock shortblock with 20 k on it with the oil pump for 400 before shipping. I also have a stock used bare block for 75.

if this one dosent work out i may take u up on that bare block. im just looking to build a forged short block for ~500-600hp over the winter since im pretty sure mines on borrowed time
