Florida is supposed to have E10 Gasoline statewide by 2010. I live in south Florida and i'm already having problems finding 100% Gasoline...Has anyone else started putting E10 in there Foxbody Mustangs? If so, have you had any engine sputtering, or problems with your fuel system because of this mixture?

I have a 1993 Mustang 5.0 GT and I filled up with this mixture, E10, and I felt some sputtering at the beginning of the tank for a night, but after a day I haven't felt anything since then. I took my car to a 5.0 pro, and he checked my fuel system and told me that nothing was wrong with my car. But he was talking to me about the E10 mixture and how it is giving older cars problems.

E10 has been mainstay in MA for years. I don't even remember the last time i filled my tank with 100% gasoline.

I've run both my Mustangs on the stuff without a single hiccup

i hate the ethanol blend. it may not seem like it to some but i belive it burns quicker too. I heard that ethanol burns cleaner but burns faster so that would make me think you would use more? doesnt that negate the effectiveness?

I avoid any Fuels that have that Ethanol Blend in it as my Gas Mileage goes down.

For the 1%-2% reduction in fuel economy....really, I don't think it's as big as some make it out to be.

10% ethanol will not cause a 3mpg decrease in fuel economy, nor will it make you pull timing. It sounds to me like you got a bad batch of gas more than anything else.

i won't argue the point. i can just tell you the facts. from the first tank till i sold it the bronco's gas mpg never got back to normal after the 10% ethanol.

and my mustang never ever liked it.

thats just my exp.....

All my cars run fine with it, but I will say that there is a NOTICEABLE change in mileage on both my coupe and my turbo inline six as well as the ole 300 in my truck. Screw E10, its worthless, and really pissed me off when we were payin $4-$5/gallon for the crap...altho finally the prices have gone down so I wont complain too loudly lol

I am in Jacksonville Fla and everything here is at least 10% E. My car seems to run fine with base timing at 14.

I havent seen any issues with fuel injection, but i know it causes issues with carbs. The spring after we started it here in MA my fathers motorcycle wouldn't run right. We called a local place and they said it was the carb and they had almost a month wait with all the streetbikes having issues from the ethanol sitting in the carb all winter. He uses a fuel stabilizer now and hasn't had any problems since.l

I have run 94 ethanol for about two years now. setting up for ethanol is not hard. i covered the EFI conversion a few times on E85Forum.com :: Home. i get 17pmg in town and just over 500 at the wheels with little boost.
