well, then you could get the same results by just looking at everyone's car instead of taking a poll

I agree nobody is gonna mod a car they're not crazy about. Didn't really care for mine after a year or so, but once we start playing w/ it some more, grown to love it again.

I voted for 1967-8. Between the '67 Shelby G.T.500 and GT Fastback, I don't think there was a better model year, and the '68 KR Convertible is my favorite car of all time.

The 1969-70 era is second in my book. I love the 1969 Mach 1 and 1970 Boss 302, but I don't like the Shelbys from '69-70.

Third is the 2001-2003 Mustang GT. I love mine!

Fourth is the 2005 Mustang, given it looks like the sketches below.

1967 Shelby G.T.500:

1967 Mustang GT Fastback:

1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible:

1969 Mach 1:

1970 Boss 302:

1969 Shelby GT350:

2001 Mustang GT Convertible:

2005 Mustang Mach 1 Concept:

2005 Mustang GT Concept:

Wow, I haven't seen those concepts yet, pretty hot! Not sure if I like the bigger grill work on the front of the Mach though. Are they back to calling this a 2005 model again? I thought there was still a shot at it being a 2004 model?

Motor Trend says it's a 2005 model in the November 2002 issue. Of course, they still say the Bullitt was a 2002 model. Idiots.

You're both wrong. It's been a year and 2 months.

Either the Boss or the Mach 1. Both bad cars!

I have always liked the 70 Sportsroof the best. No geegaws bolted on the sides and an uncluttered front end with only two headlights. 67 & 68 Fastbacks would be second.

I can't believe this is still around! I just saw it, and voted before I looked at the age... talk about back from the dead.

Anyway, for me it's split.
I LOVE the front end of a 69, but hate the side ornaments.

So it comes out as either a 68 coupe, or a 69FB

'68, IMO - I like the front end of '68 - I am not too fond of the looks of the bar running across on the front of '67 grille, although it would be my second choice. Next would be '69-'70.

Im starting to like the 71-73 Mach 1's alot more since I got one. They have that big muscle car agressive stance in par with the GTO's, roadrunners, and Chargers of the day. Throw in the blackout hood, mag 500's, lots of rubber, and spoilers But don't get me wrong im a fan of most Mustangs especially fastbacks. 71-73 Do resemble a Charger even a GTO in dimensions. About to go watch some "Dazed and Confused" I love that GTO Judge. Too bad HP ratings started to drop, I wonder what the 74-75 models woulds have been like if not for the tree huggers, insurance companies and OPEC and the Muscle car wars lasted longer?
