The easiest way is to go to your local auto parts store and buy a good quality gas treatment for your injectors. The best way is to have them proffesionally cleaned by an auto repair facility. They will tap into your fuel system and use a much higher quality cleaner than what you find at the local a/p store and the results will be much greater and worth the money you paid to have it done. Sounds like a pain though. Fuel Injectors are complex and I would not trust myself to take one apart and put it back together correctly.

From what I remember they unhooked the fuel pump relay then ran the motor to bleed off the fuel in the fuel rails and then hooked up a spray can sized can to the schrader valve turned the can upside down then started the car and ran it until the can ran empty. It was supposed to do a much better job that the in tank stuff but be less expensive than taking it to a shop to have them cleaned. I would like to do this to my '89GT. My only question is do our fuel injection fuel rails have a schrader valve? I know some do and some don't.
