What's Involved With Changing Carpet?

seats and the lower cluster where the shifter is... its not too aweful best way is to get your new carpet lay it down then take out your old carpet and lay it on top of the new one and make all your marks because you have to make all the cuts yourself..

I would go with nothing but OEM on the carpet....You dont want it looking all cheesy when your done... Been there done that once..

Hope your not planning on ripping into that with the surgery and all just done...:D
Breaking the seat bolts loose can be a mofo...

50resto has a nice carpet kit and the seatbelt bolts are terrible we had to get them out of my dad's 69 chevelle to do his carpet....talk about some hard long aged bolts to get out...i wouldn't attemp this right away after the back surgery if you want to though get some help...where are you at if your close i can lend a hand

Well, I thought those places in the mags (5.0 resto, etc) had the OEM carpets...that is what I was planning on, but I see where there are some with extra sound proof padding.

I will NOT touch the car until 90 days post surgery, at which point I have NO RESTRICTIONS!!

I have power tools, so hopefully that will help with the bolts.

GREEN GT: Part of the reason for new carpet is something Fresh, that smells good. There is NO WAY IM going to dye a carpet with drink stains foot dirt, kids' booger wipings, etc

Thanks

Well, I do have some pictures hiding somewhere, I'll see if I can't find them and post them. But I bought the carpet secondhand from someone who was parting out a car, so I can't help you find a retailer, sorry.
