I am thinking about changing over to the 4.6 4v cobra engine. What would I all need to change out in order to do a swap on my 02 GT?

the engine, flywheel, clutch. money, time, and either the cobra harness or the knowhow on splicing the GT to work on the cobra.

the injectors take a diffrent plug. the 4v has a knock sensor I do belive (chip or tune may take car of this). the throttle cable/cruise cable may not work. proably flywheel, I would do the clutch no matter what. I don't know if the alt is the same. the intake ducting will be different.

I would try to find the engine as complete as possible.

I would search google for some write ups. I have never cosidered this swap much after I added up the cost. it starts to get very expensive and the motor is stock form is not powerhouse so to speek. boosting the 2v is cheaper and less work so I never got 100% to the bottom of it.

I would just hit google up you will probabaly find some write up's with all the info.

i was reading a nightmare 4v swap on tccoa today.

i guess it is harder than it seems. maybe i need to give up suggesting it. i'm getting real discouraged. it was so easy for me i assume it's easy for everyone else. i mean it was hard work, but there were no suprises. it fired up right away. it doesn't always.

if you want the join the 4v croud DO A LOT OF RESEARCH. nobody can help you pay attention to details. any mistakes and you are stuck with an expensive junk pile. i wish i could be there for everyone that needs help.

That's been down for about a month since some retards would screw up the process and not pay attention to the site and then whined about it to the webmaster so he shut it down
