The 94 up dual speed fans are fantastic and dependible, and cheap for that matter.

what is best may not be best for you. Teh mark viii is the most powerful, but it comes at a price by drawing lots of juice. Ramchargers, spal. the sn95 liek mentioned above, the taurus..............

i would think one that has some junked fords.
there are a million threads on them all if you want to search. depending upon your climate, you may not need the hurricane, aka Mark VIII fan. the 3.8 taurus fan seems to really sip juice nicely and cool well.
and with a fan controller like Michael Yount is running, i think it makes the fans much more efficient and economical, as well as likely being a little nicer on the charging system.
BTW, the Mark 8 can be kind of a pain to mount. it is big. good luck.

On the other hand, I'm very happy with my Black magic flexalite electric fan.

I also bought a Black Magic flex-a-lite electric fan, did alot of research and they seem to be up there with the best, little pricey though but you don't want to go cheap on your cooling system.

If you have the alt for it I would run the Mark VIII fan. The 94-95 would be my second choice.

You obviously didnt do very good research. For a stock motor, maybe theyd be fine. But overall, waste of time and money.....

I ran the black tragic, and it couldnt keep my stock motor cool in a new york summer. This was with a Fluidyne radiator.

They dont even flow remotely close to the Mark VIII fan, by a good 2000cfm at minimal. Its not even in the same class as the taurus, the sn95, ramchargers, or spal.

I have the Ramcharger setup on my car and it is incredible, I have never turned it on the High setting. Low keeps it cool as can be. All the mods are in the sig, it is not a stock car.

The Mark VIII fan puts out more CFM on low speed, than a Black Majic does at its best.
The Black Majic is rated at 2800 cfm. The Mark VIII does around 3400 cfm on LOW speed, and over 4500 on high. That is almost 2 times as much. If you have a need for serious cooling, get a good radiator first, then if you need more, go to the Mark VIII, but make sure your electrical system is up to the task.

Mark VIII information:
http://www.qsl.net/wd4ngb/markviii.htm

I got mine for $30 at the junk yard.

Myroc, i didnt mean to offend you or anything of the sort. But when you say its up there with the best..... that is just simply not true. And that fan is LUCKY if it hits 2800cfms.

My research was done with a FMS alum rad in mind, i don't know if this is right but you could have the best E fan in the world but if the rad is not up to snuff then it not going to help.
No offence takin, this is how we learn.

All I know about the Black Magic is that is is advertised to cool an 300HP engine, 250HP with A/C. That isn't even adequate for a bolt on 5.0- nevermind one somebody is, or will be getting serious with.
Never heard of the RamCharger, but that pic looks pretty sweet! What's the deal with that one?
