I guess they are just trying to make sure that this Forum doesn't turn into Stangbangers and a bunch of other meathead forums.

That's why you find a lot of laid back guys here who talk shop. Sure the S197 section is not all that active on here, but we keep it informative and civilized for the most part.

I don't think your thread was out of line, because I am used to seeing threads like that all over the web. And frankly a stock GT has no business racing a stock Civic Si. You're just going to get beat each and every time......afterall, you don't need 8 cylinders.

I get that the intent wasn't to talk about street racing, but this board has a very strict policy against talking about street racing. As stated above, there's plenty of places to do that. Sounds stupid, I know, we're all adults here. But the reason being is that sponsors pay good money to advertise on our board. When they sponsor the board, they're condoning and recommending our website. So we have to be fair to the sponsors who keep this board free by not indirectly associating them with illegal activities, such as street racing.

Oh, and this goes for everyone. When you have an issue with a mod or a thread being closed, please send an email to the mod that closed it, or another forum mod. That's part of the StangNet TOS.

Thanks guys!

not to sound rude but can anyone clear up where this rule is written?? I read through the terms of service and it said nothing about street racing chat? I mean maybe it should be specified specifically? I may have missed something but i always read through forums rules and regulations long before i start posting.

* We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate StangNet community standards. The StangNet team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

* Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

* Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

While it doesn't specifically state street racing, it is an illegal activity, so covered by the second one.

while it is not specifically written in the rules (yet, i will edit that in a second) it has been common knowledge for most of the "regulars" that street racing threads are not permitted.

you have not been banned, so you are not in trouble for the thread. in the future, please PM moderators to discuss issues like this, just like darkfireGT mentioned. i am off to edit the TOS for you now.

edit: damnit steve, you beat me to it! i will still edit it now. Steve ownz j00. :nice:
