I’m looking at either the tokico illumina’s or the Dspec… whats the difference between the 2, I know the dspec cost more, but what is the “performance” difference, is there any?

I wondered the same thing and after doing the research I decided not worth mucho more bucks for "performance" shocks and struts for my 96 vert. Not into high performance and Monroe had a $60. rebate when you bought four of anything Monroe, so I went that way and very pleased with the handling, cornering and ride. FYI, I asked around and Tokico is the buzz word.
New Michelin Harmony's gave it a very smooth, sure-footed ride. Not cheap but I definitely got what I paid for. Old shocks completely worn out and front struts locked up so you can imagine the big difference plus the Michelins.
