What's the redline on a 289 with stock valvetrain?

you have one of those little slide needs to put where your redline is? I had mine at my shift point on my auto.


I wouldnt rev a stock 289 past 6grand

You would be lucky to get a stock 289 to 6 grand. Normally the vales will float at about 5 grand. Kind of a built in rev limiter.

I Agree with Max on that. Your sig does not say anything about your cam, but a stock C-code cam was so mild I'd say it runs outta breath before your valves will float
