What's this aircleaner?

looks like a single 4bbl cobra air cleaner. If it doesnt have a cobra part number on it, it is probably a remake. Not worth a whole lot. If it is, indeed, aftermarket, I am actually looking for one of those. Let me know if you want to sell it. I dont want it if it is original....too much $$ for my blood and I wouldnt insult you by offering an aftermarket price.

Is this a generic piece? :)
Is it worth anything? :D

Maniac![/QUOTE

that is an obsolete part that isn't worth anything. do you a favor i'll take it off of your hands for $5.00 if you pay for shipping. :D

in all seriousness it looks like it goes on a '67-68 shelby mustang w/o ram air.

I think originals have to have a ford part number on them....of some kind. The thing that sucks about them is the air filters are expensive...like $30 each I think. Check out NPD or Mustangs Plus online. If its an aftermarket repro then its not worth much...I would think $30.

$30 for a filter? You can avoid that by using a K&N in it. For the price of 2 paper filters, you could have had a K&N. They make it in a 1.8", 3", & a 6" (but why anyone would need a 6" is beyond me. ) By the way, if anyone wants a 1.8 K&N, I have one to sell. I switched to a 3" on my Ranger. :nice:

I would think that an original would have markings.
The replicas have been on the market since the 70s. There are probably 100x as many of those out there than the originals.
I had a replica version on an old pickup once. The PO put it on with a K&N filter.
Anyway, point is, it looked exactly like that one... ridges and all.

they made em both ways, with single or dual wingnuts, but both for a single carb. There is a special internal bracket thing. goto mustangs plus or mustangs unlimited..one of them show the full assembly with it.
