Hey, I check under the hood this morning of my 1996 GT and notice that there was a little bit of oil coming from this holes. I am thinking it a PCV valve but i'm not sure, Its on the top of the passenger valve cover.

Why would there be oil dripping from here ?

Yes, that is the PCV valve. The reason for the oil showing up there is either the hose that the PCV attaches to or the Grommet in the V/C is worn out or not sealing well. It is an easy repair.

Hey Thanks,

So there are two PCV valves one each side. ? Also when checking Auto Zone there PCV valve looks different has to hose outlets.

Should i replace the PCV or do the auto parts store have just the Grommet ?

The fitting on the drivers side is not a PCV but rather a part of the EVAP system. You have to make sure AZ is looking at the right parts. You can always take the original part with you into the store so they can match it up, or go to your local Ford dealership and get the right parts the first time. Getting someone at AZ that is smarter than a breadbox is a gamble. They tend to only know what their computer screen tells them. Garbage in/garbage out.
