My neighbor offered me a set of Enkei 17" universal five spoke wheels, with brand new tires on them the other day, for cheap. (For a 67 Coupe, by the way).
Bolt pattern is fine. However, they have a lot of off-set, so, I installed a set of 1" spacers I had on hand. The rim still hits the upper ball joint housing.
Is it okay to clearance that housing with a die grinder. Isn't that just an outer housing?
I don't want to go grinding on it if it is structural or something, but I can't remember.
