It's in the kick panel of the pass side. Remove it and there will be a plastic piece over it. There are also 2 connected harnesses that may have to be unplugged to remove it. I dont remember the EXACT layout once you're in there because of my TwEECer. Nevertheless, that's where it is!

Good Luck

It's in the passenger kick panel.

Here's a nifty tech note that I think Wes might have authored.

NICE

Just did a complete Engine and Tranny Swap. Stock engine with Vortech to Built low-compression 331. Swapped AODE to TKO 600...IT is a different car.

Good lucK!!

Hey guys, if you do a Auto to T-5 swap, is the computer swap a must? I've got a 347 in a ford ranger, with 95 Mustang controlling it, but I took it the stuff out of an auto, and my truck is a manual...and I'm having real issues... What would haveing the Auto PCM in a manual do?

I'm not an expert and have never swaped trannys before. I'm pretty sure you need a manual pcm with the manual tranny though. That could be the cause of your problems

Could be, but there's no used ones nearby, and I'd hate to purchase a new PCM and not have it make a lick of difference...

If your issue is that the car randomly bogs for a second, it's likely the EEC. When the Auto EEC knows it needs to shift, it pulls timing. That's fine till you're no longer shifting at those same thresholds (because you now shift when you want to).

A used PCM is the same price as a unit from Autozone or Advanced. I did a conversion for a buddy last year and he got his from Autozon for 115$. By the time you get one from Ebay and have it shipped, you spend the same or more.

Also, they accepted his auto computer for the core! You need to find computer number: T4MO

Autozone will most likely have to order it for you, so when it comes in, make sure it has that number on it.

Yep, it does randomly bog, and does it 2-3 times, likely attempting to shift the trans...

Big thanks for the code too The_Mustang, i was going to have to go to a friends, pull hers, get the code, and re-install it...
