I was wondering if it would do me any good to buy a fuel pressure regulator with my current mods?

I doubt it, i just put mine on to help it run after the H/C/I. i had about the same mods before as you do now and never felt the need. that's just my 2 cents though. others might think different.

After 10 years I think now would be a good time. Every time you add a mod you can now adjust things. Especially with the induction mods you have. I can almost guarantee that your pressure is low right now. The stock setting is around 36-39psi. On a dyno tune that has a A/F meter is where the mod really shines. Buy a guage and see where it's right now.

I would agree and say go ahead and get the regulator and gauge. At that point on my coupe I bought one and increased my pressure to 40. I didn't put it on a dyno but it seemed to help a little as my mph went up a hair. I was using a homemade ram air also. It's not something you are going to say WOW!! I sure am glad I did it, but it is good to have for now and later.

Unless your stock regulator is bad, you don't need a new one. Adjusting the pressure up or down from the stock 39 psi is a waste of time for 99.9% of us ... only if you're trying to run undersized injectors for your application will a change in pressure have any benefit.

Fuel pressure regulators are a band aid fix and sometimes a temporary fix as the eec will "overide" the adjustments. The eec definatly "overides" the closed loop changes, but theres some contraversary as to what it does at WOT open loop. Sometimes they help, sometimes they get overided by the eec.

Assuming a properly functioning EEC, and no alterations to its calibration to disable closed loop operation, it will learn during closed loop how to achieve the desired A/F ratio. During open loop it will continue to use the numbers that were learned during closed loop.

Yeah, sometimes if a cars tune is way off, the fpr may help though at wot. Thats why I stopped tuning with a fpr and I run about stock FP and I use a remote optimizer, not the best tuning tool, but tis cheap and good enough for me.
