when going from efi to carb, does your tach still work?

i dont think it will, but is there anway to wire it up to make it work? thanks dustin

yes. My 86 was efi now carb'd and tach works. Since the swap though i have my tach signal coming off the msd digital 6 box with a tach adapter so that my factory tach works. before i put the tach adapter on the tach was all over the place.

IIRC the tac signal comes off the TFI module on the EEC vehicles. If your going off the MSD your siply going off of another module. So my guess would be no. Not sure.

yes it will. but you have to wire it to work.

It should work since the tach gets it's signal from the coil. You might have to wire it more directly than it is now, but it should still work.
