Where are the blocks coolant drain plugs?

I'm trying to flush my radiator and I understand that a lot of the coolant is in the block. I think I found one of the engine block drain plugs on the passenger side. It's a hex bolt about 2 inches above the oil pan rail. Is that right? And where's the one on the other side of the block? All I can see is the oil filter on that side.

thats it. should be in front of the motor mount if i remember correctly

If you are gonna take the plugs out. You can replace them with those valves that screw out for hardly nothing.

That way ........................

Next time you take the heads off ..........................

No big mess all over the floor

Thanks for the diagram but I suck at reading them. Is there one on each side? I can't tell. I can't find the one on the drivers side where the oil filter is...

Kinda like the drain petcocks you find in radiators

Made from brass

Got a T handle to open/close

Get em at auto parts/home improvment stores

that is all

Soak em with something like Liquid Wrench or P B Blaster

WD40? And do you guys pull em when you flush your radiator? Or should I just not bother and pull the lower hose? If I do get em off I'm definately getting those valve one's you were talking about.

I had a hell of a time removing mine the first time .Pretty sure I had to heat them with a propane torch after penetrating oil didn`t do a damn thing.

I replaced the factory allen head ones with some square head pipe plugs,using liquid teflon thread sealer.
