I'm trying to flush my radiator and I understand that a lot of the coolant is in the block. I think I found one of the engine block drain plugs on the passenger side. It's a hex bolt about 2 inches above the oil pan rail. Is that right? And where's the one on the other side of the block? All I can see is the oil filter on that side.:bang:

thats it. should be in front of the motor mount if i remember correctly

If you are gonna take the plugs out. You can replace them with those valves that screw out for hardly nothing.

That way ........................

Next time you take the heads off ..........................

No big mess all over the floor

wow! those things are not easy to get out. Any tricks?

I had a hell of a time removing mine the first time:fuss: .Pretty sure I had to heat them with a propane torch after penetrating oil didn`t do a damn thing.

I replaced the factory allen head ones with some square head pipe plugs, using liquid teflon thread sealer.
