Where are the FRPP 4.6 PI crate engines?

With all the crate engines FRPP is producing and selling these days I can't believe they don't have complete 4.6 2V PI crate engines. I can think of at least 2 versions they could build and sell tons of. One stock replacement and one "power adder special" with a Cobra crank, h-beam forged rods and forged 8 or maybe 9:1 pistons.

Uh don't they still have the 5.0 cammer? The 5.4 nav?

Ford wanted 6800 for a bone stock GT longblock - i can build a wicked engine for 6800. Thats why Ford doesn't get involved with crate engines, there would be no market for them at that price.

Ummm..... yeah but those are not direct swaps into the hundreds of thousands of 4.6 modular Mustangs on the road.

They sell new blocks for $350. Compltely assembled heads for like $400 or $500 ea. For $3000-$4500 they could sell long blocks and intake-to-pan crate engines like mad crazy.

I have one, although all it is, is a Aluminum blocked engine built specifically for the mustang, not the explorer, so it drops in without having to change a bunch of stuff, I really lucked up when I got mine because they(Ford ) only built a handful of these motors. Mine was $4100 with a 1 year 12k warranty, and unlimited tunes.

I wouldnt be suprised to see them do it in the near future. I mean look how long it took them to put the block and pi heads in the frpp catalog.

I'm tellin you guys I highly doubt that will happen, or that there will be any serious market for it. Their beyond the 4.6 2v right now, why would FRPP develop an engine for a car that isn't out on the road anymore (replaced by 3v engine) - there are plenty of engine builders that can get the job done for a lot less than Ford.

if i were going to go through the trouble of buying a new crate engine, i wouldn't waste my time with a 2V.

i would swap a cheap used one but if i had to go new i'd think of upgrading....4v baby

Then why do they still sell 302's, 347's, 351's, 392's, 460's, and 514's then? Your logic seems flawed.

I believe there is a market and it is untaped as of yet. Not everyone can afford to swap to a 4V while retaining emissions complience and it is cost prohibitive for many to do so.

When was the last time you've heard someone purchasing a factory long block as opposed to CHP, DSS, SHM, D&D, VT, MPH, etc - I surely haven't unless their looking to put the car back to stock.
