Where can i get a waterpump backing plate?? BEST GASKET??

I am replacing the water pump gaskets, but the pump itselfs is still good. The backing plate is kinda pitted, so with new gaskets and new plate it should make a pretty good seal. where can i find just the water pump backing plate for a 92'. Also what brand and kind of gaskets are the best?? I went to autozone and they tried to sell me some cardboard all bent up gasket..NO WAY...leave a suggestion

And are you talking about a timing chain cover or the actual plate that is part of the water pump?

the pump is like 20 bucks at autozone, just get a new one paint it and be on your way

paint the new pump, makes the engine bay look better, did a web search and no luck sorry, maybe just clean and sand the one you have, sorry for the lack of help, and yes for the most part autozone are morons
