Where can I test Octane Rating?

I need to test the Octane rating in my fuel tank right now. Should a shop be able to this, can i buy a kit??

Doubt a shop can do it and they don't make at home kits since I believe a lab has to to the testing. They probally need special equipment to analize the fuel.

if you are worried the octane is to low you could add octane booster to bump it until your next fuel stop. just curious to why you need to know?
