Where did my 8.8 come from?

Does anyone know of a car that Ford made, with an 8.8 axle, that had single exhaust?

I got an 8.8 4-lug Mustang axle with drums a while ago, and the brake hose was attached to the vent, like you do with single exhaust cars. The housing has a casting number of '86, the first year for the 8.8 in Mustangs. But the 8.8 only came with the 5.0, which had dual exhaust also starting in '86. Maybe it's a T-bird axle? It has the quad-shock brackets also.

I just want to be able to tell people where it came from.

Maybe they just put the 7.5 brake lines on the 8.8 so it would bolt right it. I believe it was installed in either a 79 or an 82 Capri.

Please help! I don't really need to know this, but it is killing me, lol.

Sure, I can post pics. On the dual exhaust cars (ie, 8.8 with 5.0), the brake hose comes off the driver's side of the top of the pumpkin, like this:

But on the single exhaust cars (ie, 7.5 with 2.3), the brake hose is held onto the screw-in axle vent, like this:
