Where Does Lock Cylinder Wire Connect To?

I have a 1991 GT that was originally an AOD car that was converted to 5 speed and I noticed that the wire coming off the ignition key lock cylinder isnt connected and I see nothing to connect it to. Did the AOD cars not have them connected to anything?

they were connected to the AOD shifter- only allowing the car to start in P or N. Here is picture of it from a B&M install guide

Are we talking a wire or cable?
Never seen a cable so must be the wire for the key in switch chime.

Yes, its the wire coming off the cylinder for i suppose the chime.
