where is the oil sending unit.

89 5.0. where is the oil sending unit located at.

When looking at the engine from the front of the car, it is behind the timing cover, on the right side, screwed into the block.

^ what hickified said. it's a 'bell' looking thing with a single wire pushed onto the top of it.

You should be able to see it pretty easy if you look down on the drivers side.

yeppp....its pretty easy to see from underneath right around there too

I am pretty sure you can find it by now

I would put some thread sealer when you reinstall the oil pressure sending unit.

Bad (inaccurate in fluctuation) oil pressure sending units are a common problem with the misreadings of pressure on the stock guage.
