The module has always been zip tied in this location. I’m pretty sure it’s where it is supposed to go because there is an outline of the box but you can see all these holes are pretty chewed up. Does anybody have a picture of what it is supposed to look like?

It is visible in desktop mode. But not when I’m looking at it with my phone. Interesting.

Signature is not visible from desktop on my end. Found a few pictures of an '83 engine bay so hopefully they help.

I sent off a message asking why my signature isn’t being displayed. What I am needing is how do those modules actually mount to the fender? Are there supposed to be studs pressed into the inner fender? Is there a bracket? Or is it just some kind of screw going through the module into the fender?

The Duralast (I think that's what the ignition box is called) box should have holes in the corners.

Ok so I can weld up all the holes except for the ones that line up with the corners of the box.

I have the stock module here someplace.. If I can find it I will take a pic.... I am not very likely to " change" things around.. I like to put items back where they belong so I ass u me that this is where the stock one went.. Like most things nowadays, " I can't remember " LOL .... I measured for 3 days before I drilled holes for the late model coil placement.......

those modules are color coded,by the wire restraint on them. yellow is calf emisions i think, brown is vv carb, blue fits all others,4,6 or 8 cyl. i always carried a spare, the silicone on the back will melt, bad ign box. they can act strange in many ways.
