I am going to install gears on my car soon, and I need the following tools.
Dial indicator w/ magnetic base
Dial caliper
Inch/pound Torque wrench
Is there any place that rent's these kind of tools? Where should I start to look?
I would rather not pay for any of these tools. I can get the Dial indicator from summit for $29.95 + shipping if absolutely necessary.

Have you tried autoparts stores? A good dial indicator will cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 bucks. My Dad just bought a new one for something like $179. Why don't you want to buy the tools? You can use the dial indicator when installing the cam, so why not buy one?

Have you tried http://www.harborfreight.com ? They have stores all over the place. I got a magnetic base for $13 and a dial indicator for $14. I got my in/lb wrench from sears for about $25-30.
