I need to buy new side window seals as mine are cracked and leaking water. I saw them in 5.0resto for about $150. Should I get them here? Is there a better source? Thanks.

I not sure what your refering to. I got all my seals/trim from www.50resto.com. Are your talking about the door windows? The window run channel liners I got from 50resto were made by Softseal. They fit well but you have to spray them down with silicone spray and leave them up for a while to take shape. The silicone helps the glass slide up and down. The outside dew wipes were made by KRS Repro. The fit OK. Everything else that I got was factory Ford. I don't remember anything around $150 except the drip rail mouldings which were $70 ea. The belt moulding was about $30 ea. If your talking about the quarter windows you would have to re-seal the window to the body. The quarter window and trim are one piece. I also got quarter windows from them and they were factory Ford - "blems" as my friend John would say .

must be talking about outside dew wipes. Good luck finding them. Even the places that list them don't have them. Apparantly they are not being reproduced yet and ford is out.

I just got new outer dew wipes from PPI. They are Ford parts. $29.99 each.

Hmm. I was talking about the side windows that go up and down. The piece that the window actually rolls up into. Mine are cracked and leaking water. Thanks for the info.

Those are called run channels. PPI has them too. I think they are 29.99 each. The ones from 5.0Resto cost alot more. I bought the ones from PPI, but have not installed them yet.

Let me know how it goes. I'm very curious to know what the difference is. Were yours cracked and leaking as well? Brian
