Hey i was wondering where i could find me a wrecked 96-98 cobra. I rather just buy the car, do a motor swap and steal all the interior. lol just something i have wanted to do for about a year or so now. I wanna pull the 4v out and build it, then put it in my GT to complete the cobra convert.
Thanks guys!

Just takes some searching....finding a wrecked Cobra is pretty tough to do sometimes.

One place to look that most dont' think about is the Factory Five website. They have a forum with donor cars for sale since their 66 Cobra kit use mustang donors. Every so often I've seen Cobras listed, but its pretty rare and you'd probably have to act fast.

Everyone wants those motors!

Just picked up my 98 GT yesterday... in about a year the Factory Five Cobra kit will be on it's way. Never knew about their forums until you pointed them out, spent too much time staring at other parts of their web site I Guess.

Its a little pricey, but Brothers Performance has NEW 2000 Cobra engines (NOT "R")with everything you need ( tranny, headers, intake, computer, harness, all acc., Cobra dash gauge pod) all you need is the chasis. $6000 for the whole setup

You got a link? There was no Cobra in 2000 except for the R. Unless they just made the 4V's and 2000 was the production year of them.

there was going to be a 2000 cobra in the US but the 99 cobra was having a few problems so they never built them. They still had the motors. There are a few 2000 Cobras in Australia.

I'm pretty sure that listing in the Brothers catalog is a few years out of date...

do a search on the Ford part number ( M-6001-C460 ) and you'll see it was discontinued long ago
