where to get a new starter?

my darn starter went out on me today. do you guys suggest anywhere i could get a new one? online ordering, pep boys, napa, ect? i have a 65 289 c4

got one for my 69 at autozone w/ a lifetime warranty for 32 bucks w/a core

thats cheap as heck.

what are these high tq all about? is it bad to put on only a mild 289?

they are for high perfomance motors, cant really think it would do any damage on a stock motor even...just not really a need for it

I have the Kragen $40 lifetime special on my new 306 and it does just fine. Really don't know what type of engine would justify a $180 starter. I know I am close to 400 horses with no cranking problems at all, and if it does go...who cares I've got the lifetime warranty!
