Where to get decent gears for a 8.8 rear end?

I am looking to get a decent quality set of gears for my 88 fox. I would like yo get 3.73 and most say to get ford racing gears. Everyone I have talked to said to stay away from gears that arent made in the USA b/c of quality issues (metals, and the way they are made mostly). Anyone have suggestions?

stick with ford. gefracing.com has them for $140 which was the best price i have found. if you find a cheaper place let me know

defenately get a set of FMS gears, you won't need a shim kit with them. Good luck

I've always got my gears from national drivetrain. there email addy is nationaldrivetrain.com the eliminator series gears are 135 I think. they have a super value gear for 125, but it's mainly for trucks. they are a well known company that's in mm&ff quite often. as for the fms gears not needing shims. they need the same shim thickness that's on the stock pinion gear. national drivetrain is the same way the ford fms gears are. as in using the same thickness shim that's on the stock gears for there gears. hope that helps ya out.
