Ok, I found exactly what I want on ebay for $416.10. Its a pair of MAC long tube headers with a small H pipe. Is this a good price or do you know where I can get this same setup for cheaper? I also plan on getting a set of flowmaster 40's to go along with it.

GET THOSE

thats probably the best you would find for a pair of longtubes...i wish I wouldve got LT instead of shorty headers, LT have a nice sound to them especially with Flow masters. I dont regret getting the shorties though....nice deep sound that doesnt sound ricey at all. But if I could go back it would be LT all the way and you cant beat the price youre getting them for either.

AFAIK, you can't put cats on LT setups. The working cat's are typically positioned as close to the engine as possible so they'll get hot enough to work. Putting cats on LT's also sounds a bit futile. I mean, you get LT's for the higher RPM power gain, the agressive sound ..and looks. You put cats on and it'll just muffle the sound up, not to mention kill the high end power gain. Totally defeats the purpose of installing LT's.

Ugh, that blows. In my state, I have to have Cats to pass inspection. Is there another way to get that mean sound and still be state legal?

They have high flow cats and they supposedly work with LT's. I thought they couldn't be used, IDK it was more my take on the idea. Either way, LT's will give you a much better sound than with shorties. I know it isn't as good with cats, but, maybe try high flow cats. They might even make them for LT's. Try Late Model Restoration, or maybe American Muscle, or maybe Summit or Jegs. Just an idea of where you can look around. Someone else HAS to know more about this than me. Wish I could help you out more.

1994-97 & 2001-04 3.8 Mustang MAC Long Tube Headers
$249.95 Free shipping, Stage 3 motorsports. They also sell the Pace setters. I don't like them because of them not having bolt up collector flanges.
