nope, because the calibration is in the computer, not the MAF. the maf just reads voltage based on airflow. the computer then takes that voltage and uses a given amount of fuel for that voltage. you need a dyno tune.
1+ As long as the MAF is within spec so the ECM has that voltage signal, it is a bolt on unit as if you changed the knock sensor or water temp sensor. She is built-in is do not get snowed buy someone saying your MAF needs their dyno to correct your water temp sensor... Get it?
When I bought a after market MAS for my truck, the guy wanted a calibration number off the vehicle. I can't remember where the number is. It worked fine for me. The company was called Vanir Racing. I believe he's out of California and he specialized in V6 racing engines mainly Ford 4.0 litres. I believe you can have them recalibrated. I don't know what companies does this kind of work. Pearl02.

Very true. Several of us over at rps.com did a group buy many moons ago. Mr Vanir was a member of our forum. He told us that some of us may have problems with the modified stock MAS. We all recieved flow sheets from him. I think 30 of us bought the units from him. I think 3 guys had some problems with the units. He did fix the units for them. This was before we had tuning devices like we do now. Believe it or not, it wasn't that long ago. I've had no problems with unit I bought from him. It's been on my winter driver for 8 or 9 yrs now. Tuning/data logging is definitely the key to everything. Pearl02.
