I'm just getting into a '66 mustang 289 project and I'm on a budget. I know there are about a million different catalogs and companines out there all selling the same product and I was wondering who is the cheapest and most reliable and who should i steer clear of? I'm looking for both restoration and performance/mod parts. any help u can give is welcome, thanks!

Here's a recent thread so we won't have to re-hash everything.

For restoration parts I like Va. Classic Mustang - http://www.vamustang.com/ - Plus they are fairly close by and I usually get my parts the next day, should be the same for your location.

For performance engine parts I use Summit Racing - http://www.summitracing.com/

For other performance parts:
Tony Branda - http://www.cobranda.com/
Cobra Automotive - http://www.cobraautomotive.com/index.htm
Mustang Depot - http://www.mustangdepot.com/

I have had amazing experience with CJ pony parts. Mustangs unlimited has been good too. For performance parts I go with summit.
