I believe that is the tach housing. JCWhitney sold them in the past.

that would be a Dixco hood tach. no longer made and not reproduced at this time. they are all over Ebay, just do a search for Dixco or hood tach and they'll pop up like crazy. be warned they almost never go for anything less than $500 bucks and usually more. Good luck

crapola My friend wanted me to look around for this part thinking it would there would be a cheap reproduction currently sold
