Anyone have any idea where I can get the trunk carpet panels for a 1990 convertible?

I don't need the carpet that goes on the floor, I know where to get that, but I can't find anywhere selling the panels of stiff carpet that go vertical behind the tail lights and against the sides and such, see attached pics.

(and what the heck are they actually called?)

Thanks,

Rob

Unfortunately those are salvage yard only parts.

Their site doesn't work like that. You have to put in year, make, model, etc.... Anyway, if you put in 1990 convertible and work your way down, one of the selections is this:

1990 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE CARPET WITH DIE CUT QUARTER PANELS

Call them to be sure, but I think the quarter panels are the pieces the OP is asking about. There's no pics on their site to confirm so give em a holler.

Whoops... nevermind. Just saw on another site that the quarters are the pieces next to the rear seat, under the arm-rests.

This should be what you're looking for:

Hmmm... me either. I'll get another look into it and see what I can find when I have a little more time.

I like a challenge.

Can someone send me some better pictures of the pieces in question?
The crayola colored image above isn't quite clear enough
Post'em here or email me at: WK@tmiproducts.com

Is this only in the coupes? I would figure the Verts would have a similar set up.
I can't imagine it would be an item in high demand - but we're always looking to expand our Fox interior line -- and who's to say we couldn't start doing these for the SN's as well.

I'm off to Mustang Week! I'll let ya know when I get back!

it's a vert, and yea, i'll take the panels out and snap pics and post em
I want to fiberglass a sub box in one of the corners, but it only makes sense to get everything else looking right first
for now, here's the unedited photos-

TMIproducts

This should give you some idea of what it would look like.

Here they are out of the car (if I have the correct pieces this time).

I sent you a link where you can purchase the panels in the second pic.

theres mine out of the car
Those are the right panels
TMIproducts, it doesn't look too hard to make, if you got ahold of some good ones and made a fiberglass mold, a thin fiberglass part with some carpet or fuzzy stuff would be a sellable product

Yyyyep. Ya know why? Cuz nobody else has them. LOL

I said I'd find em. Didn't say I'd find em cheap.

It says they're new though.

$250 (or more) is what they will cost used. Noobz is correct. Its because of the lack of options.

I was looking for these a few yrs ago while restoring an '87 vert.
Thats why I posted salvage yard parts only for these. I searched the world over for new parts with no luck.

Hopefully TMIproducts can remedy that for us. PLEEEZ
