where to splice power wire for durspark conversion?

I just got the duraspark wired in except for the power wire. I couldn't really find any good keyed 12v wires in the engine bay to run off. Where would you guys reccomend wiring in the power lead for the duraspark box?

The 3 wire plug that has water and oil sensor wires also has the ignition hot wire.
that wire goes to the + side of the coil and is resisted to 9v though. I need to figure out where to mount the power wire for the duraspark ignition box.

Pretty sure you will need to route a wire into the passenger compartment and then to the ignition switch. That is what was needed on my 65' because there were no good switchable wires with full 12 volts to be found anywhere in the engine compartment.

Once the wire is in the passenger compartment, it gets splices into the same wire at the switch that would feed the coil on your old points setup. It must be done at the switch BEFORE the 12v goes into the large pink resistance wire and becomes 7v.

The only solution i could find is to run the wire to the underdash area and splice right after the ignition switch connector. The other wire IIRC should go to the I post (white wire i believe).

What about the green/red wire going to the "S" terminal on the regulator?

How much current does the ignition box need?

I like the Idea with the relay, but it's one more thing that could possibly go bad.

I checked mine this morning with a V/O meter. Key on motor off = 12.68 volts. Mine is a 6 cyl car. Could that make a difference? I have not fired mine yet, but that is wired to my MSD box, I hope it works.
