wheres the door switch? and interior light ?

where the heck is the door switch that tells it the drivers door is open? I can't find anything anywhere.

99 GT btw...

and does the middle interior light shut off automatically after the doors been shut? my bulb was removed and when I replaced it it doesn't seem to shut off. and also the car beeps still if I leave the key in the ign. even with the door shut.

so I imagine I def. need a new switch, but where the heck is it???

Yup, if your car beeps with the door closed and key in the ignition, it's your door ajar switch. It is snapped into your door latch. You'll have to take your door trim apart and latch.

You can try something first though. Spray a good amount of WD40 in the latch and then open and close your door about 15-20 times. It may start to work again.

thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try. I guess thats why the previous owner removed that bulb.

they couldn't just use a normal door switch like everyone else huh
