Which CAI is best for an 05 GT? One that will still be good for serious HP.

Do you guys offer any tunes or just the preloaded ones on the SCT? And what's the difference between that CAI and the other Steeda with a carbon fiber elbow?

Go to american muscle look at the JLT, C&L and Steeda see what one u think looks the best and pick it cause they all will net similar hp numbers i went with JLT cause its a 100 bucks less combined with a tuner.

I was thinking of getting the JLT since it had the biggest MAF housing but i dont know if that really matters

The tunes are pre loaded from Steeda. Bigger isn't always better, Steeds flows better because of its design and how the filter sits into the intake, allows freer flow with less cavitation.

Steeda. Our MAF size was carefully selected for a balance between velocity and size. If you go too large on an MAF housing size, it hurts velocity, and ultimately does itself no good.

Our built-in velocity stack smooths incoming air, which gives you a smooth/consistent MAF sensor reading, allowing your engine to run more efficiently.

The carbon fiber elbow is pretty much just a dress-up/styling option.

I went with Steeda and very glad I did. I debated going with JLT, but after talking with Brandon at Steeda, I felt better about getting the hardware and tune from them. Very noticeable difference in performance. Also, call in to get 5% off, which wasn't advertised on their website last month when I purchased.

Call Steeda or Sparta Performance for the discount? And do you CAI/Tuner kits only come with SCT tuner or do you also have one that comes with a DSP instead?

Steeda. I never heard of Sparta Performance. Mine came with performance tunes on a SCT tuner.

How much HP did you end up with? Does Steeda offer lifetime tunes like how American Muscle does with Bama tunes

I just installed K&N's CAI on my 08 last Friday and am 100% impressed! Install was simple and the power difference is undeniably noticable. Before installing it, I could feel a little lag in the trottle but there is ZERO lag now. And the sound is unreal! Very addicting. Got it on sale at American Muscle for $269 but also had a $10 off coupon so got it for $259 out the door. I'm not sure about the other brand mentioned here but the K&N is not made of metal or aluminum so it won't retain as much heat as the others that are made of metal/aluminum. Just something to think about.
