I am having a bit of an overheating issue...Someone said that the black magic e fans are known to not blow enough air for our cars on hot days..I have an black magic fan and am looking into a different one..which should I go with?

If you feel like searching, there are myriad threads. As I recall from time spent in Vancouver, it can get toasty in the summer. I'd go for a 3.8L Taurus fan or a Mark VIII if you have the space.

Good luck.

I'd prefer something that would fit on a stock sized radiator..would the mark viii fan work on that size?

Yes it does. Note that some fabrication of is needed (trim the shroud, brackets to mate the fan to the radiator, etc). The main concern with the Mark VIII is its thickness (over 4" when trimmed as much as possible).

Not unless you get some twin fans and then they dont fit. Im all for the thinner Taurus fan. I have one I got for 20 bucks out of a junkyard and Ive never had a problem since.
This was about a year ago and I researched all the aftermarket fans out there and couldnt find anything over 3300cfm(Black Magic). There probably is something out there that is better than a taurus fan But they would be way expensive.
Ill do one minute runs in autocross and the temp will get up to about 195 at the end of the run and as soon as I sit still for a minute it goes right back down to 180or a little below. As far as everyday driving, its not a problem an a 100 degree day in town. Sorry , no air to compare to. I took it out. When the fan is on high speed ,I can feel it pulling air from the edge of the bumper.

Depends on how much you want to spend - I got a Taurus fan from the j/y that has worked flawlessly for 2 years. You can pick them up for as little as $12-$15. If money is no object, then the Mk 8 is the way to go. FWIW, I have never seen a thread that indicated that a Taurus fan was not capable of keeping their engine cool. I have an LED indicator light and can tell when the fan is running at 100% and it rarely does - usually will hit 100% after starting the car when it has been running hard and has some heat sink in the engine. Then it only takes a minute or two before it is back down to 180.

I have Derale's Dual fan on a Summit alum rad and so far I have no complaints. It pushes alot more air than most fans.
