I need a new cat back...BAD......

So, i have decided on only straight through style.

Some brands are pretty obvious

Flowmaster, mac=chambered
SLP, magnaflow= straight through

Basically what would you reccomend? i looking for the LOUDEST muffler system that i can find in a straight through style with 3"+ tips.

I was thinking the SLP kit?

My car is really quiet with the turbos so i need something that is pretty loud, plus turbos like no baffles.

Just go completely straight pipes with turndowns like I did.

but I really need to get some mufflers. Im thinking some SLP's too.

Id find some tips and make a catback yourself. You can weld so it will be easy. You can pick up two dynomax race mufflers to use.

Make sure you are tracking that Magnaflow catback and standard Dynomax Super Turbo catback are not straight thru..... Magnapacks and Dynomax Ultra Flow are straight through.

I'd go Magnapack myself. SLP sounds like arse to me.

God, i dont see how you guys can stand that insane loudness. I had an o/r h pipe and 40 series flows on my 5.0, and it would drive me crazy on long trips. I put and o/r x pipe on my 06 and took it off after 1 day and sold it. i guess i lost that "love for noise" thing

i had tried making my own cat back before, but when you buy the tail pipes, mufflers, and tips, it almost costs as much as a kit, and the kit will look 100% perfect and bolt right in.

also, remember that my car is even quiet with just the x-pipe....the turbos quiet it down ALOT

Flowmaster mufflers aren't truely "straight through" either. While they don't use packing, they do have internal baffles. If your car is quiet with just an x-pipe, adding any muffler will not make your car louder no matter what brand you use. Do like Green GT suggested and go with pipes sans mufflers. BTW the longer the pipe, the lower the exhaust note will be.

SLP catbacks make a very tinny sound, but they still sound sexy....plus, it's different than the norm

Good ole slp. I have the full cat back on my 02 and its a great fit. I bought just the resonators for the 95. I got them off ebay for 76+shipping. He said they were used for 3 days. They are stainless so it really didn't matter to me. As for the sound its a love or hate thing. I love loud exhaust so it fits me. I wouldn't recommend them on a daily or if you live in a real populated area.

I had these on my old 95, I thought they were too quiet, I did have a high flow h pipe though; My friend steve had these on his 91 gt w/offroad pipe and they were loud..... all in all a good muffler as well. And I totally forgot about the bassani, these sound completly different, but in a really good way.

You dead sure they were ultraflows? The standard Dynomax system (super turbos) is almost as quiet as stock..

They were the ultraflow SS, which are now the race welded.
