Im going to lower my 93 gt but are a little uncertain about what lowering springs to get. In my 88 lx i have the steeda springs that drop the car an inch. I was looking at the bbk lowering springs cause they lower the car 1.5 and that is about what i was looking for. Does any have these springs on there car and if so what do you think? Or can anybody make recommend a spring? I do want progressive rate springs cause this is a daily driver.

most of the spring makers are pretty good i have no direct experiance with bbk, only old saggy eibach's, a important part of lowering spring is the other stuuf you put with it, caster camber plates are a must have, and if your struts and shocks are worn out they will not be enough damping for your springs, and the ride will suck(lots of experiance with that). My advice would be to call maximum motorsports, those guys know there stuff and can steer you in the right direction, to lower the car and make it ride nice as well(i just bought their complete coilover kit, and they have by far the best service and support i have experianced in the car industry) also 1.5 is the max you should lower it, any further causes all sorts of issues

4 cyl springs work great, if your on a budget. I just bought a set of Eibach drag springs off of eBay for $75. They should work pretty sweet.

i'd go ford c-springs if i had the $. sold my h&r race springs cause drop was 2". thought i could handle it but ride sucked, especially in the city. threw on some 4 bangers and called it a day. 4 cyl springs are cheap but IMO have little street perf value. steering feels a bit loose and cornering feels sloppy. does offer smoother ride and good for launching though, that's about it.

I used BBK specific rate sprigs for my car. They lowered the car about 2" in front and 1.5" in the rear. I went with the specific rate spring because the progressive rate springs tend to have a little stiffer ride. Also replace your shocks and sruts when you have the money. I just replaced my stockers with tokicos for a lowered stang and I cant beleive the difference.

I have the bbk specific rate springs it lowered the front also on my car about 2inches and about 1.5 in the rear. It looks nice on 17's but I went to the strip last weekend and decided that I was going with eibach drag launch's next, they don't hook up real good on the strip. Depends on what you want, they do ride a little stiff, but these cars ride like go-carts anyway.

I have been extremely happy with eibach progressive. not too low to scrape against everthing, good ride, stiffer when pushed hard, and they havent sagged like others over long period of time (heard of some that sag but im sure they improved over the years). About a 1 inch drop for me and got camber casters. Shouldnt need anything else since you got the better geometry suspension for that year. Ive riddin in cars with 1.5 specific springs and they do beat on ya. progressive little more tolerable.

I bought the elcheapos off ebay, and Im actually really impressed with how they ride, considering the nearly 2" drop. Plus, now I get to go REALLY slow over speed bumps, and that pisses off people behind me, so I like that part. But I prolly wouldnt go that route for a DD, but the stance is

Anyways, i have FRPP C springs. Its a very stiff ride, which i LOVE. with some subframes and strut tower brace this thing will REALLY stick. It was a HUGE improvemnt in handling with the 17's, but when cornering on off/onramps over 45mph it rubs like hell. I really just need some weight reduction and 235/40's in the front and i will be set. Also, i did struts before, but once i put the springs on my eyes opened up. i love the twisties and you scrap over speed-bumps which makes me cringed. everything a tradeoff.
