As you can see from my sig I already have a Bassani Catback.
I love the sound!
I have almost decided to go with the Bassani Catted X to match.
I have heard many vids of this setup, including one in real life.
Some clips of this setup produces a lot of backfire "popping" sound when coming off the throttle and I am not so sure I like that.
2 questions...
Why is it that some clips of this setup produce that backfire popping sound and some clips don't???
Any other suggestions for midpipe choices to match my Bassani C/B?

Yep, stick with the bassani, exspecially if you already heard it in person and you know you like it. If you try something else you might not like it as much. I dont know how you dont like that popping sound, I love it on my car.

I don't want the car to sound abnoxious.
Guess that's just part of getting older (31 this month )

Does your setup "pop and crackle" when driving normally?
Or only when you hammer it?

personally, I dont like the stamped X's, like Bassani and BBK. you could get a VRS True X for a good price. I think its $160 for aluminized o/r X, and $220 for stainless. just my .02.

ive heard the bassani X with the stingers, and it sounded like ****.

If your going with the Catted X it won't sound obnoxious at all, it will sound great. Going from the stock midpipe to an aftermarket, it will sound about 2-3 times louder. My set-up can be heard from 3 blocks away people tell me. And that's just normal driving. I'm 40, and it's music to my ears.

nothing agganst bassani but I don't like the design of their x-pipe.

I would buy either a vrs or a magnaflow. they are both cheaper than a bassani and they are both stainless.

as to running one praticular brand from front to back I don't see how that makes a difference. I looked at bassani, vrs, and magnaflow to mate up to my borla. chose the VRS and it fits perfect.

Trust me, you'll like it. I'm 31 and I wouldn't have any other exhaust setup.

F*** the cats. Get a UPR or MustangTuning O/R X-Pipe for about 160 shipped and enjoy the sound. Its so badass becuase in the car its REALLY quiet but if you let someone else drive it, holy jebus. Its NASTY especially above 3k. It really brings out the uniqueness of the Bassani sound.

I bought mine from Ninosport.com . They were $525 when I bought mine a year ago. I got $30 off the price because if your a member of Mach1registry they give you a discount. I paid $493.

Well my only concern is the "crackling" & "popping" noise.
Some people with this setup claim to have it, and others do not.
I would like to have a smoother sound.
Here is a thread from MPH:
http://www.modularpowerhouse.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26799&highlight=exhaust
Some replying to that thread claim that their setup does not crackle.
Why is this?
