One of my motor mounts is cracked and in need of replacement, so I figure I might as well replace both while I'm at it. Which are the best motor mounts and where can I buy them? I want something better than stock... Also, how difficult is it to swap motor mounts? Is it something I can do with a good floor jack and basic hand tools?

Energy suspension polyurethane captured mounts. I think you can get them through Summit, or any high performance parts dealer.

Yep and changing them is pretty easy. Good floor jack, stands, block of wood, 1/2 and 3/8 drive ratchets, 12 inch extensions and a couple of sockets.

Energy Suspension or Prothane. I used the Prothane. Summit, Jegs or any high performance shop. They are under $100 and are simple to change.

That is a good time to do a tranny mount too. Crossmember bushings if they look bad.

Good luck.

I changed the trans mount a few weeks ago when I did my TKO swap. I have an energy suspension poly trans mount.

If you've got an O'Reillies (sp) part store near you, check with them. They will price match Summit and Jegs and you won't have to pay shipping. Some of the other major chain stores may do the same thing.

I have the energy suspension mounts and they are very nice pieces. My old stock mounts looked like corn beef. They were in horrible shape. I had a major pain in the ass time putting in the new mounts. First I had a lot of trouble loosening one of the nuts to get the stock mount out. Then I couldn't get one of the new mounts into place without cutting the bolt. But after a lot of time and cursing they went it. Well worth the effort though.

What about these mounts from Blue Oval Industries? They may not be Energy Suspension, but they sure do look like a good knock off! http://www.blueovalindustries.com/products.php?pid=592&openparent=9902080
